D-Panthenol

Panthenol is widely used in cosmetic products as it is so effective in Skin and Hair preparations, often called Pro Vitamin B5, once in the skin it rapidly converts to vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) which is a major constituent of Coenzyme A and has a key role in the repair mechanism of cells and tissues.

Pro-Vitamin B5 enhances the skin barrier reducing inflammation and providing moisture to help keep skin soft, smooth and healthy. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory by stimulating your skin's healing processes. It is deeply hydrating and helps to keep skin moist by absorbing moisture from the air.

Smoothing and softening, locking in moisture to prevent dehydration and dry skin and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL) D Panthenol helps to maintain the elasticity of the skin and also works with DMAE in the body to tone and firm the skin. Anti-inflammatory and excellent for skin repair.

Repairing and strengthening for hair, skin and nails and can penetrate and hydrate cuticles. Can be used in almost all types of cosmetic preparations. Adds shine and lustre to hair products

D-Panthenol is a slightly yellowish or colourless, clear, solution of the pure substance in water with characteristic odour. It is readily miscible with water, ethanol, methanol, and propylene glycol. It is insoluble in fats and oils. Heat sensitive, use below 40C when making creams and lotions

Recommended use 0.5% -5%

Store in a cool dry location with the lid firmly closed.
