Ascorbic acid or Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant and necessary component in the production of collagen, the tissue responsible for skin's suppleness. Vitamin C has also been shown to help with age spots, skin brightening and reducing skin redness and overall skin tone.

The low pH of ascorbic acid is exfoliating promoting skin rejuvenation The fine powder makes addition to custom formulations easier. Perfect for use in waterless products such as facial mask powders and cleansing grains.

You can make your own Vitamin C Toner or Vitamin C Serum or mix a small amount in your palm with your favourite water based facial serum, lotion, cream or moisturiser.

How to use:

Mix a half a teaspoon of powder with a quarter cup of water to create a vitamin C toner every other day, or mix a small amount in your palm with your favourite water based facial serum, lotion, cream or moisturiser.

Expert: Soluble in water (50 mg/ml), ethanol, and ethoxydiglycol. Ascorbic acid is highly unstable in most mediums as they contain oxygen and metals. Ascorbic acid can also react with light and heat. Short-term use formulations are the most effective way around this.

Not suitable for sensitive skin.

Keep cool, dry and away from light for best results. Brown tinged powder means the ascorbic acid has reacted with moisture in the air and should be thrown out. Keep tightly closed.
